Brotha Lends His Home To A Homeless Family Rent Free For One ...

Tony Tolbert a Harvard educated lawyer of Los Angeles, CA decided to lend his home to a homeless family rent free for one year. Tolbert, 51, will move in with his mother while the homeless family lives in his home until they get back on their feet. He says he got his giving spirit from his father who always opened their family home to people who needed help. Tolbert decided to take his father?s generosity one step further.

Tolbert reached out to the Alexandria House -a shelter for homeless women and children in Los Angeles- and found Felicia Dukes. Dukes was homeless and sharing a single room with her three children. The room is only for children, so her oldest son could not stay with them which made the family homeless and broken.

Tolbert told CBS News:

?Kindness creates kindness. Generosity creates generosity. Love creates love,? he said. ?And I think if we can share some of that and have more stories about people doing nice things for other people, and fewer stories about people doing horrible things to other people, that?s a better world.?
