POLICE FITNESS TRAINING EXPERT DEVELOPS IPHONE APP TO SOLVE MAJOR DIETING PROBLEM
MIAMI BEACH (February 12, 2013)?Kelly Kennedy, PhD., one of the nation?s leading experts in police fitness training, has developed a free application for the iPhone and iPad that solves a major dieting problem.? ieatnburn gives users a chance to redeem themselves through fitness after eating at favorite chain restaurants.
ieatnburn is user-friendly and specific to the user?s gender, age, height, and weight. It features 42 restaurants and their full menus as well as 170 physical activities with varied frequencies.? In just five easy steps, the app generates the specific amount of time the user should conduct the chosen fitness activity to burn off the food consumed.
The app, launched in September 2012, uses the calculation called Metabolic Equivalent of Task (MET), which analyzes human movement.? MET runs in the background using data collected from various studies on the 170 activities.? ieatnburn uses different values for each activity to calculate the required length of time estimated to burn off the calories consumed.
?As someone who works out every day, I often wondered how much extra time I was going to have to spend at the gym after eating something ?off the program,?? says Kennedy. ?I decided that if I?m going to get the information, I might as well provide it for other people too!?
ieatnburn is expected to hit the Android market in the near future.
